Florida Postcard Writing Campaign

Help make every voice count in the coming election

Do you care that every citizen has the right and opportunity to vote? Join us in sending Get Out the Vote postcards to voters in states experiencing voter suppression. This non-partisan project is part of the Every Voice, Every Vote campaign, a program for Reform Judaism's Religious Action Center.

During the months of June through August, we will be writing postcards to registered, but infrequent, Black voters in Florida to encourage them to vote in their primary election. These postcards make a difference for three reasons:

1. These Florida voters, if they miss three Federal elections, risk being purged from the voting rolls.

2. When voters vote in the primaries, they are far more likely to vote in the general election.

3. The postcards target voters in smaller, rural counties who are not getting a lot of outreach. Many of these voters don't think their vote matters. We will let them know that it does.

It’s easy to help:

We provide the postcards, labels with voter addresses, and instructions. We'll even give you stamps, if you ask.
Just tell us how many postcards you can complete by August 8. They are available in sets of 30.

Write the cards - only 2-3 handwritten sentences on each card - and mail them off between August 1-8!

Do you need stamps? If you can purchase your own .40 cent postcard stamps, that will help reduce the Tikkun Olam Committee’s costs. Stamps can be ordered on-line at USPS.com.
