HHS Brotherhood: An Attorney’s approach to Estate Planning

Sunday, November 2, 2025 11 Cheshvan 5786

9:45 AM - 12:00 PMSouth Building - Event Room

Join us for an informative and accessible session with Dan Kapsak, who will strip away the “mysteries” of estate planning. Together, we’ll explore and compare wills and trusts, take a clear look at powers of attorney, advance directives, elder law, and probate, and even address the often-overlooked topic of asset ownership. Dan will also bring clarity to the so-called “evil” protective proceedings—guardianship and conservatorship—putting them into proper perspective with his signature wit and insight.

With over 33 years of practice in Colorado, Dan hails from Long Island and specializes in dispositive planning, disability planning, end-of-life guidance, elder law, probate, and estate disputes. He serves on ethics committees, contributes to charitable organization boards, and volunteers with the Alzheimer’s Association.

The morning will begin with a bagel schmooze at 9:45 am, followed by the talk and Q&A at 10:00 am.

Brotherhood members, significant others, and family members are all invited—and it’s very important to register in advance.

Whether you’re just getting started or reviewing existing plans, this session will help you understand the essentials, ask the right questions, and make informed decisions for yourself and your loved ones.
