Remembrance & Independence: Two Realities

Sunday, April 27, 2025 29 Nisan 5785

10:00 AM - 12:00 PMSouth Building - Foyer

During the week of April 27, we will stand with Israel as it observes Yom HaZikaron (Remembrance Day) and Yom HaAtzmaut (Independence Day), reflecting on both the cost and the reward of having a Jewish state.

As part of our ongoing speaker series, the HHS Brotherhood, in collaboration with the Women of Har HaShem, is proud to co-sponsor Wally Klatch for a powerful discussion on a very different reality—the loss of memory and independence due to dementia.

  • Wally, who is in the early stages of dementia, will share insights on:
  • How the condition begins to manifest
  • The surprising connection between memory and independence in dementia’s early stages
  • Ways the community can relate to and support individuals with dementia
  • The progression of dementia and what lies ahead
