Aryn Miller

Aryn has been involved with youth education at Har HaShem for 30 years as a religious school teacher and then consultant, prior to occupying her current role. At present Aryn works with the Lifelong Learning Department supporting all youth education programs and youth groups, our summer day camp, our B'nai Mitzvah Tutors, our Youth Education Committee and our Disability Inclusion, Awareness and Acceptance Committee. Additionally she consults and collaborates with families, students, and staff in response to requests and needs as they are identified. Aryn facilitates a successful and enjoyable Jewish learning and community experience for students and their families. She will communicate with students and families as much as is needed and is comfortable, reading student support plans (including 504 plans, IEPs, etc), communicating with the Har HaShem education team, including faculty and all those involved in our youth programming. She will provide information and ideas regarding accommodations and learning strategies, training teachers and madrichim to impact all students’ learning, and working with individual students to ensure access and promote beneficial learning experiences.

 

Aryn is originally from Chicago but has been in the Boulder area for forty years. Aryn holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders and Speech Sciences from the University of Colorado and a Masters of Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. She has served as a mentor teacher for teachers in training from CU Boulder and UNC. She and her husband Michael enjoy living in Colorado and visiting Estes Park as often as possible.
