Ethan Stone

Ethan Stone grew up in Overland Park, Kansas as a member of Congregation B'nai Jehudah. He recently graduated from Brandeis University where he had a major in Latin American and Latino Studies and three minors in Spanish, legal studies, and social justice & social policy. At Brandeis, Ethan was heavily involved in Brandeis Admissions and the Brandeis Jewish Reconstructionist Organization, as well as Brandeis Bridges, a group that aims to create community, dialogue, and understanding between Black students and Jewish students.

Ethan grew up attending URJ’s Goldman Union Camp Institute in Zionsville, Indiana, eventually spending two years as a counselor. He was also involved in NFTY Missouri Valley where he served on the regional board as the Regional President during his senior year. Ethan's first regional NFTY event was at Har HaShem in 2011, and since then he has been eager to come back to Boulder and join our community. Ethan directs our youth programs, works in our religious school and will increase our camp-like programming. In his expanded full-time role, he will work on building more relationships with our young people and finding out what their interests are and how they want to be connected to Jewish life. During the summers, he will be with our campers at our URJ regional overnight camp, OSRUI. He is excited to bring his passions for Jewish learning and social justice to Har HaShem. Ethan uses he/him/his pronouns and enjoys photography, hiking, and learning about whatever he finds interesting.
