Rabbi Fred Greene

May the new year be sweet, healthy and full of blessing.

In this complicated moment, I pray we are thankful for the blessings we enjoy, connected to those around us, and hopeful for the future. May seeing one another’s faces, hearing each other’s voices, and reading or singing the prayers of the coming Holy Days bring us together as a community in Boulder and around the world.

I write to share our plans and to encourage you to respond now.

Holli and I will livestream Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur services from our sanctuary simultaneously to  Zoom, Facebook Live, and our website. Please pre-register if you wish to join us on Zoom. We have limited capacity, and we’ll need to know attendance in order to upgrade our account, if necessary.

Register for Services at this link.

  • On Zoom, you will be able to see other congregants and exchange text messages. You will have some opportunities to talk to one another in small groups before or after the service.

  • Facebook Live offers a chat box into which you can type messages. You do not need a Facebook account to watch services on Facebook Live.

  • On our website you will not be able to see or chat with other participants. You can only watch the service itself.

If you have a smart TV, you may find it more comfortable to view services on your television. You may be able to connect your phone, tablet or laptop wirelessly or with a cable to your television. Check your television manual or look online for instructions for your technology.

In addition to services, we are recording podcasts and music, creating discussion guides and rituals for use at home or outdoors, and collecting resources and information about programs offered around the world

You’ll find everything on our website, and we’ll continue to update that page throughout the season.
