Our Funds

Making a gift - an act of tzedakah - to Congregation Har HaShem is a wonderful way to honor a loved one's memory or acknowledge a special occasion.

You may give online, or send a check made out to Congregation Har Hashem to 3950 Baseline Road, Boulder, CO 80303 with the fund you would like to donate to noted in the memo line. To discuss a gift, call Har HaShem at 303-499-7077.

Funds

Annual Campaign
Your contribution provides needed additional support for the congregation, increasing our impact upon our members and our community.

General Operating Fund
Your contribution will offset the ongoing costs of all of Har HaShem's activities and programs – prayer, learning, community building and social action.

General Endowment Fund
Your contribution adds to the investments in our endowment that generate income to support all of the congregation’s work – prayer, learning, community building and social action.

Bachrach Symposium on the Environment Fund
Your gift supports this annual program that gathers faith leaders from across traditions to explore environmental justice and ethics.

Bikkur Cholim Fund
Your contribution supports community members when they face challenges in their lives.

B’nai Mitzvah Tutorial Scholarship Fund
Your contribution helps Har HaShem ensure that all of our students are mentored in advance of b'nai mitzvah.

Building Fund
Your contribution helps improve and maintain of our buildings.

Cantor and Rabbi Endowment Fund
Your gift helps fund salaries, benefits and professional development for our clergy.

Eileen Hirschfield Imerman Lansky IST Endowment Fund
Your gift provides funds to Har HaShem teens to participate in the Israel Study Tour.

Gifts in Honor of Clergy or Staff
Your contribution will recognize members of Har HaShem's clergy or staff, either collectively or individually. It will help support Har HaShem and provide our clergy and staff with funds for them to use at their discretion, individually and collectively, for charitable and religious purposes that are consistent with the congregation's policy for the use of these funds, as well as Har HaShem's mission and tax-exempt purposes.

To make a gift to a discretionary fund, choose that fund from the drop down menu on the donations page. You may also mail a check made out to Har HaShem with the staff member's name in the memo line. Clergy and staff will be notified of and acknowledge gifts made to the congregation in their honor.

Your contribution supports programs that act or advocate for justice in our world.

Youth Education Scholarship Fund
Your contribution provides scholarships for Har HaShem's educational programs for youth.

Youth Group Scholarship Fund
Your contribution ensures that all of our children can participate in Har HaShem’s youth groups, including regional and national youth group activities, and attend summer camp.

Sponsorships and Dedications

Oneg
Your contribution sweetens our celebrations of Shabbat by defraying the costs of Friday evening onegs (the gathering after services). We accept donations of any amount and recognize donations of $180 or more as oneg sponsorships.

Tree of Life
Celebrate or remember an event or milestone by inscribing a leaf on Har HaShem's Tree of Life. The tree is mounted on a wall in the Social Hall. Each leaf is $180. 

Paver
Celebrate or remember an event or milestone by engraving a brick or paver in the open area in front of the North Building entry. Pavers are available in different sizes at different contributions.

 

Memorial Plaque
Remember a loved one by mounting a plaque on the wall of our Sanctuary. Names on memorial plaques are read before Kaddish, the memorial prayer, each year on the anniversary of their death. Each plaque is $360.

Solar Panel
Celebrate or remember an event or milestone and help Har HaShem minimize its impact upon the environment. Har HaShem's solar arrays, mounted on the roofs of both North and South Buildings, generate 75% of our electricity. Your sponsorship will be recognized within the building, and your gift will help Har HaShem to purchase the panels outright in 2022.
