Linda Salvay

A native of St. Louis, MO, and longtime resident of the Kansas City area, Linda Salvay has been actively dedicated to sharing Jewish learning, values, spirituality and music with children and adults for more than four decades.

Linda has taught music for preschoolers and young children in religious school settings for more than 20 years, and has facilitated Jewish learning for senior adults as well. As a singer and guitarist, she was a member of performing groups Shir Ami (St. Louis), and The Chai Singers and Yachad—The Traveling Tefillah Band (Kansas City), and has extensive experience leading music for contemporary Jewish worship.

A graduate of the Melton Mini-School adult learning program and a former student at the World Union of Jewish Students Institute in Arad, Israel, Linda continues to broaden her own Jewish knowledge as she strives to share it with others. She holds a bachelor’s degree with a double major in journalism and home economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and she worked for many years in corporate communications.

Linda is relocating to the Boulder area with her husband, Craig, to be closer to their two daughters and four grandchildren – and to begin the next chapter of her career in her new role as Family Educator at Congregation Har HaShem. Linda will be serving as the director for family school as well as running Sunday family education.
