Contemplative Shabbat Experience

Our contemplative Shabbat service, led by Rabbi Ruthie Gelfarb, offers a slower paced and more meditative approach to prayer. Anchored in the traditional liturgy, the contemplative service incorporates guided meditations, silence, soulful melodies, chants, and text study. The contemplative service is an opportunity to explore a different mode of Jewish spirituality that relates to Shabbat as a day of rest and renewal. Accessible to those without a strong Hebrew background. If you have one, bring a meditation cushion. All are welcome.

Dates: Saturdays, October 21, November 11, December 9, January 27, February 10, March 10, April 7, May 12

All sessions are from 10:15-11:30 am.

Har HaShem aims to include individuals of any age who may temporarily or permanently move, hear, see, touch, think, learn, communicate, process stimuli, and/or experience emotions differently.
