High Holy Day Food Drive

Project Isaiah - Yom Kippur Food Drive
Begin the New Year with a Mitzvah - "..share your bread with the hungry.." Isaiah 58:7
Let our Yom Kippur fast serve as a reminder of those in our community and around the world who are hungry every day, and let the food and funds we contribute be a tangible response to this growing problem.  Hunger didn't take a summer vacation, nor does it go away during the school year. It is a year- round concern for our community.
Items Community Food Share most needs are:
* Canned meat or fish
* Canned meals
* Canned vegetables
* Peanut butter
* Non-sugared cold and hot cereal
* Pasta and pasta sauce
* Rice and beans

Please fill a shopping bag or a box with non-perishable food, and bring it to services on Yom Kippur! Or, if you do not want to handle food on Yom Kippur, you can drop donations in the Community Food Share bins in the foyer of Har HaShem any time during this High Holiday week. All donations go to Community Food Share.
The Tikkun Olam Committee of Har Hashem wishes to thank you in advance for your contributions!

Har HaShem aims to include individuals of any age who may temporarily or permanently move, hear, see, touch, think, learn, communicate, process stimuli, and/or experience emotions differently.
