Raise Money for Teens to Go to Israel By Shopping at King Soopers and Safeway

Congregation Har HaShem has partnered with King Soopers and Safeway and their Community Gift Card Programs to help subsidize the cost of the Colorado Agency for Jewish Education's (CAJE) Israel Study Tour (IST) trips for teens.

The IST is a community journey with other CAJE Hebrew High 11th grade classmates to Poland to learn about the Holocaust and then on to Israel for an incredible five-week trip.

Purchase a King Soopers or Safeway reloadable gift card registered to Har HaShem for only $5 anytime at the synagogue office. There will be $5 pre-loaded onto each card. The cards also will be available at some religious school functions.

The Goal: Make $10,000 or more every year to help Har HaShem kids go to Israel.

The process is easy and it costs nothing!

  • Buy preloaded Har HaShem cards for $5 each at the synagogue. Go to any King Sooper's or Safeway service counter or check stand to load additional money using cash, check or credit card.
  • Buy groceries or gas at King Soopers or Safeway.
  • At the register, slide your King Soopers or Safeway Shopper Card for discounts, and then pay with your preloaded King Soopers or Safeway gift card registered to Har HaShem.
  • Reload the card with money over and over again.
  • King Soopers and Safeway will send Har HaShem 5% of every dollar loaded onto the card.
  • Har HaShem teens will have help getting to Israel.
  • You will have performed a mitzvah.
