Cantorial Soloist Holli Berman grew up singing Jewish youth group songs in Northern California and earned her BA from Barnard College, Columbia University in 1991. Holli became the Cantorial Soloist of Har HaShem in 1997, and she strives to bring inspirational music to our services and community. She created and leads the Har HaShem band, Or Zimrah, who joins services once a month at Second Shabbat.

Holli serves as a compassionate member of our clergy and pastoral-care team and has supported many members through difficult times. Holli also works with young people to prepare for Bar or Bat Mitzvah and helps them develop the skills and self-confidence to lead the congregation in prayer. Along with her spouse, Marcia, Holli is the proud parent of Lauren, Seth, and Jaron.
